Who am I?

Hello, I'm Alyx, but legally Alex. My brain has always been creating and analyzing stories since I was a kid. And I find great joy in helping others maximize their story’s potential and further develop their plots, characters, and worlds. I do coverage, screenwriting, and creative writing.

Thematic Statement
I write about characters who don’t realize they are overlooked until they are confronted by the persons that pigeon hole them. In that moment, my characters aim to prove them wrong, saying “F you! I’m doing this anyway. Despite being scared and not knowing what I’m doing, I trust myself in that I will figure it out and make it.” My characters fight for equal opportunity and respect, and discover more about themselves along the way: who they were meant to be and what they love.
My Story
It's a work in progress. I didn’t grow up in a “normal family.” My dad and brother both have Aspergers’, which made the family dynamic a little more... interesting. I've also been medically diagnosed with ADHD since I was in kindergarden, and have dealt with that stigma since then. I've had plenty of other experiences and even wrote a few into articles for SlapStik Comedy Entertainment. Stories and comedy has always been my escape from reality. Whenever I felt heartbroken, unimportant, undervalued, or bored, I would tell myself a story. It was a hug for my brain. Over time, I became more facisnated in how stories are told, developed, and shared across different forms of media. So, I got degrees in that. And now, here I am. At my core, I genuinely want to help people reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Because when they're happy, I'm happy. I'll help anyway I can, breaking through all the obstacles to reach the finishline.
Perpective on Writing
Letters in a script are the brush strokes in a painting. They come together creating a grand image in the reader’s mind.
Perspective on Animation
In animation, you can literally play jump rope with the laws of physics, and when done right, every frame is a masterpiece.
